Macro photography is a form that I love to shoot because it brings a level of detail and color that gets lost in wider shots. A valley full of blooming poppies is majestic, but it cannot happen without the individual flower.

Playing with light and shadow in these images is always fun. The close up nature of macro allows me to move around to see where they fall of the subject. I am usually surprised at how much things can change by moving one step to the left or bend down onto my knees.
